We are seeking individuals who will make excellent lawyers and who can also demonstrate the ability to thrive and flourish in demanding yet exciting commercial environments.
Each year we recruit graduates to join that unique band
of corporate lawyers which makes us what we are.
Our traineeships are for candidates who will have obtained a Scots Law Diploma in Legal Practice by the time their traineeship commences.
The typical DM lawyer does not exist. We are seeking articulate team players
who can also demonstrate individual flair and independence of mind, and
who are able to think laterally in the provision of effective client solutions.
It is taken for granted that you will have excellent qualifications.
We are totally committed to thorough in-house training and you will also
benefit from attending a range of external training programmes. Our interviewing
process is not intended to trip you up on points of law but to discover
who you are and how we can benefit from each other. We do not force you
through gruelling psychometric tests or other similar procedures. We don't
think they are particularly helpful. Successful candidates hear from us
in days rather than weeks.
